Hoops: Zam Fredrick Update

From a S.Carolina message board:

Fredrick Meets With Odom
By Phil Kornblut
6-2 guard Buck Fredrick, the former Calhoun County star who is transferring from Georgia Tech, met for about 90 minutes Sunday with USC basketball coach Dave Odom according to his father Zam Fredrick. The meeting was held at the USC basketball offices. Zam Fredrick said he is hopeful the meeting will lead to an offer for his son from Odom. The older Fredrick plans to talk with Odom early this week.

And another update from another SC message board:

By Phil Kornblut
Zam Fredrick Thursday afternoon denied information on the Atlanta Journal Constitution that his son Buck was reconsidering his decision to transfer from Georgia Tech. "That's either wishful thinking for speculation," Zam Frederick said. The older Frederick said he had not talked on the record with anyone from the Atlanta newspaper. He did say a woman from the paper called and asked him about "street talk" regarding Buck and a possible change of heart, but Frederick said he told the reporter "that talk should stay on the street." Frederick said his son is still planning to transfer and they plan to talk to USC head coach Dave Odom this weekend. Odom has told Gamecock Club members a second scholarship will likely come open after the semester grades are in. According to a source, that scholarship would likely go to Buck Frederick who played sparingly as a freshman this season at Georgia Tech.
