Football: Recruiting

Here's one recruit - Neil Caudle - who has an offer to play football for Georgia Tech. He also happens to have an offer from ESPN:

Caudle, who is Spain Park High School's quarterback, and Smith, a Huffman offensive lineman, are two of a handful of athletes from across the country being followed by ESPN cameras as part of a college football recruiting series entitled "Full Ride." A third player from Alabama, Opelika quarterback Steven Ensminger, is also being filmed.

He passed for 1,624 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushed for 424 yards and four touchdowns in nine games as a junior before his season was cut short by a torn ACL. He is now fully recovered.

Caudle said he has been offered scholarships from Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Michigan, Georgia, Georgia Tech and LSU. He has visited Georgia, Auburn and Alabama, and plans to see Michigan, Louisville and LSU this summer.

He expects to make his decision sometime after those visits. Until then, the recruiting letters continue to pour in - about 15 a day.

The crew followed him to the EA Sports Elite 11 regional workout May 13 at Georgia Tech and the Nike Football Training Camp on May 14 in Athens, Ga.
