Beesball: Jackets take down FSU

Well, the Jackets beat FSU. Matt Wieters continues his incredible play by hitting the game-winning HR, knocking in 4 RBI's and getting the save. Right about now I'm liking this 3-year rule in college. This is a kid that is blowing up right now. Catcher Andy Hawranick also went deep and Lee Hyde pitched a solid 6 2/3 innings....... Now, can the Jackets take game 2 of a series? That is in doubt. If patterns hold up, we'll get blown out Saturday, then come back and score 20 to win on Sunday. Of course, taking 2/3 from FSU is nothing to be ashamed of.

WIETERS LIFTS NO.4 GT OVER FSU

TECH, FSU RENEW DOMINATING RIVALRY
I did not know this:

Tech or FSU has won the past nine ACC baseball championships, with the Seminoles grabbing six and the Yellow Jackets three.

This is interesting also - the number of players drafted by year. Hard to decipher, but it's a bunch:

Georgia Tech and Florida State led the ACC in total players drafted the last dozen years.

1993 '94 '95 '96 '97 '98 '99 2000 '01 '02 '03 '04 Total

Tech 2 6 2 5 6 6 3 1 8 6 4 10 59
