Recruiting - RouSean Croumwell

Well, I reported on this kid late last week - one of the few uncommitted bigmen in the 2005 class. Now he's committed - to Southern Cal. So the list of potential big-men left for 2005 shrinks by one...... Stay tuned.

In other recruiting news, found these items:

JOHNSON UNANIMOUS ALL-SAC PICK...AGAIN
Marques Johnson that is.....

Johnson was the lone conference player who was a unanimous selection by the league’s 10 coaches. The 6-foot-6 forward was also a unanimous pick last season.

Johnson, one of the most sought-after college prospects in northeast Indiana, said a decision on that probably won’t come any time soon.

“Things are going real well,” he said. “I took my last official visit to Purdue a couple of weeks ago. I am thinking I will take a couple of more (unofficial) visits before nailing it down.”

Johnson said his top four teams would be Oklahoma, Purdue, Illinois and Georgetown. He said that he is also getting late interest from Wake Forest and Georgia Tech.

UNDERSTANDING THE AGE-LIMIT MOTIVATION
Interesting article about the impact of establishing an NBA age-limit of 20 years old. I'll tell you what will happen. It is simple. We will go from 20 teams that could realistically win the whole Big Dance to about 5. That's a fact. Because when the best of the best can no longer go pro, guess where they go? Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, etc. You get the point. Having said that, GT stands to benefit if in fact an age-limit was imposed for the class of 2006. We are on the short list of so many talented players, that there's a good chance we might actually land one. But don't count on it ever happening.
