Recruiting - Football

It's been a funny, up-and-down recruiting year for the Jacket football team. What was clearly looking like the best class of Gailey's tenure took a couple of hits when Todd Walker de-committed and Carlos Thomas was not accepted over questions around his academics. If Chan Gailey can end the recruiting season like last year, then we will be just fine. This article discusses just that...... One thing that cannot be denied is the staff's ability to recognize underappreciated talent. TE Michael Johnson is one example. Here's a guy who committed to the Jackets early and was highly regarded, but not bigtime national-type recognition. Now he is recognized as the 2nd best player by one service in the state of Alabama........... Here's another case with Anthony Clark, who has committed to the Jackets......
